Though electronica has forever and a day been a producer's medium (and the few vocalists retention their head to a higher place water are usually woman), Robert Owens became one of the figures virtually associated with the late-'80s halcyon eRA of Chicago house. Born in Ohio in 1961, he grew up telling in the church, merely was working as a DJ when he met pioneering Chicago manufacturer Larry Heard in 1985. The brace formed Fingers Inc. with Ron Wilson, and released a few first-class singles ("You're Mine," "It's Over") and the 1988 full-length Another Side. The mathematical group dissolved shortly afterwards, though, as Heard's burgeoning solo-production life history (as Mr. Fingers) took over. Owens had already released tracks on his have -- "Bring Down the Walls" and "I'm Strong" for Alleviated, with production from Heard -- and he sign language a solo contract with 4th & Broadway. His 1990 LP Rhythms in Me was a whole exploit, though it presently disappeared within the cursorily disintegrating Chicago house scene. (One of his best-known features of the late '80s, the epic field of operations moment "Tears," appeared below the name calling of Frankie Knuckles and producer Satoshi Tomiie.)

James Cleveland Owens essentially retired from music by the early '90s, simply by 1996, he'd returned to terpsichore music with Ordinary People, a two-way EP for Musical Directions. He teamed up with Tomiie and Cevin Fisher for a track from Tomiie's Full Lick LP in 1999, and one year later Owens appeared on the Photek smash "Mine to Give."

Kanye West's mother's surgeon arrested

The plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye Wests mother just before she died last year has been arrested in California on suspicion of drunken driving.

Jan Adams was reportedly seen entering a freeway in Vallejo in the wrong direction when police pulled him over.

It turned out he was driving on a suspended license from a previous DUI, reports the Associated Press.

Adams performed a procedure on Donda West the day before her death last autumn, which was likely caused by surgical complications combined with heart disease. He was being investigated to determine whether his medical license should be revoked due to two prior alcohol-related arrests.

My Chemical Romance - My Chemical Romance Speak Out Over Emo Suicide

My Chemical Romance have spoken out for the first time about the suicide of Hannah Bond, the 13-year-old fan from Kent who hung herself.

At the inquest into her death coroner Roger Sykes claimed that the suicide may have been linked to Hannah's obsession with 'emo' music and described the overtones of the genre as "disturbing", NME reports.

Writing on their website the band claimed that they were "anti-suicide" and offered their support to Hannah's family.

"We have recently learned of the suicide and tragic loss of Hannah Bond. We'd like to send our condolences to her family during this time of mourning. Our hearts and thoughts are with them," the band said.

"My Chemical Romance are and always have been vocally anti-violence and anti-suicide. As a band, we have always made it one of our missions through our actions to provide comfort, support, and solace to our fans.

"The message and theme of our album The Black Parade is hope and courage. Our lyrics are about finding the strength to keep living through pain and hard times. The last song on our album states: 'I am not afraid to keep on living' – a sentiment that embodies the band's position on hardships we all face as human beings.

"If you or anyone that you know have feelings of depression or suicide, we urge you to find your way and your voice to deal with these feelings positively."

Fans of My Chemical Romance are set to march through London on May 31st in protest against the media's depiction of the band.

Richard Dreyfuss heads to the White House

To play Dick Cheney in Oliver Stone's upcoming "W"

CANNES -- Josh Brolin has a vice president.

Richard Dreyfuss could soon make the trip to Oliver Stone's White House, entering final negotiations to play Dick Cheney in the provcateur director's upcoming "W."

The role is the last major position in the Bush administration to be filled; the West Wing is already occupied by the likes of Brolin (President Bush) Thandie Newton (Condoleezza Rice) and Elizabeth Banks (Laura Bush).

The 60-year-old Dreyfuss has never played a U.S. leader, but has had a few related roles. He starred as an opposition senator to Michael Douglas' commander in chief in 1995's "The American President," as Alexander Haig in a television movie about Ronald Reagan and played the president of a banana republic in the 1980s comedy "Moon Over Parador."

The QED-produced "W," which has been granted a waiver by SAG, begins shooting this month in Shreveport, La. QED has been selling territorial rights at Cannes' Marche du Film, with the idea that the movie will be released in October, before Americans elect a new president. A DVD release will follow in January timed to Bush leaving office.

Charlie Sheen - Sheen Richards Can Sue Me

LATEST: CHARLIE SHEEN has invited his ex-wife DENISE RICHARDS to sue him over claims she demanded a sample of his sperm.

Sheen and Richards took their bitter ex-marital battle to breakfast U.S. TV screens on Wednesday (21May08), when they clashed over an email the actress allegedly sent begging for a sperm donation from her ex-husband.

Richards denies sending the email to Sheen's fiancee Brooke Mueller, insisting her words were doctored.

But Sheen is so confident Richards did send the email, he has asked her to sue him.

He says, "Her claims that her e-mail has been fabricated or altered in any way to create this story are absurd. The mere fact the she continues to publicly discuss and harass both Brooke and me three years after our separation which, for the record is longer than the actual length of the marriage, is beyond desperate and speaks volumes.

"I will no longer sit back and be egregiously painted as a liar. If any proof can be established that these are not in fact her words and statements verbatim, I openly invite her and would even encourage Ms. Richards to sue me in a court of law."
